About Atoll Packs
What makes Trinity Entrepreneurship unique is that students actually start their own business while in class. We pick the idea, we form the teams, and from there, we do what we can to make them successful. The idea is, through the department, we have a safe environment in which we can thrive -- or fail -- without significant repercussions.
So for the past few months, 3 of my friends and I have been working on building a business we call Atoll Packs, a backpack business. An Atoll Pack is a modular pack, which means you can add/ remove parts as you wish to fit any style or purpose. This way your backpack can grow/shrink as you need more/less room. Eventually, these packs would even allow for specific modules for water bottles, games, cameras, and more. The idea is the bag is whatever you need it to be, and nothing less.
Through the class, we knew to develop an MVP first and foremost, which resulted in our first, floppy, prototype pack. It had 1 pocket and that was it. But hey, it worked. And that’s what led us to make our second prototype. This time with 2 pockets and a pouch, the second time around our backpack began to actually look like a backpack. Who knows what #3 will look like?
