Hello World! It’s Me, Kylie Moden!
Because you probably don’t know me, I thought I’d properly introduce myself. I decided the easiest way to do this would be in question and answer format, that way you can skip around to the information you are interested in knowing. If you want to know something I haven’t addressed, ask it in the comments below!
What are you studying?
Computer Science! And entrepreneurship, music, digital art, Chinese, costume design...(that’s one of the benefit of a liberal arts university: being able to explore lots of different interests).
What are you involved with at Trinity?
Right now, I am participating in Wind Ensemble and Stand band, Bad Movie Club, Entrepreneurship Hall, and Happy People Club. I am also the founder and president of Trinity Women in Computing.
What activities did you do in high school?
My main activities were band, girl scouts, and taekwondo. In band, I played flute and piccolo and was Librarian and Section Leader. In girl scouts, I was an active member for eight years, earning my silver and gold awards. In taekwondo, I ended my senior year having gone from a beginner to a red belt. I was also involved with National Honor Society and was an officer senior year. Other than that, I did lots of studying for my classes.
Where are you from?
I grew up right outside of Austin in Dripping Springs, Texas. I attended high school at Lake Travis, our claim to fame being winning 5 state football championships back to back (and this one viral video).
What about your family? Any siblings?
I love my family; despite our being located all across the state of Texas, we manage to keep in touch. My parents are divorced, and I split my time at home between them. Yes, I have a sibling – my little brother (5 years difference) who is an aspiring percussionist and avid gamer.
Anything else?
I love to sing in the car, I have always wanted to skydive, I’m learning how to play the piano, corgis are my favorite dog breed (right next to cocker spaniels), I like dancing, my favorite color is #00FFEA, I love the internet, 3D printing is the future, I like long walks on the beach…
