Stumberg Competition
Hello! So I'm going to talk about the Stumberg Competition today. Now you may be asking, what on earth is that?! I'm here to tell you.
The Stumberg Competition is a competition that Trinity University hosted this past year, and we plan to hold is annually. This was the inaugural competition and it's for all of the Entrepreneurship kids. Actually, the competition is open to all Trinity students and recent graduates. Now when I say all Trinity students, I'm including graduate students as well. Essentially, Stumberg is a competition where you pitch your Entrepreneurship venture. Grace and I pitched for World Mentor, the company I told you all about after 3 Day Startup.
Now I'm sure you're all wondering what the prize was, well there were five winners who each received $5,000 to further build their company over the summer. The five teams are also eligible to compete for $25,000 this November.
The format of this pitch was just a typical pitch. There were five minutes to present your venture and then the panelists/judges questioned whoever spoke for five minutes.
So, I'm going to cut to the chase and tell you that World Mentor did not win; however, some great other teams did and I can't wait to see what they do!
