TUNE Brunch
Recently, I had the opportunity to attend Trinity’s TUNE Brunch in CSI. I went with one thought in my mind: Free Food (which is pretty much always on my mind). I put on my favorite skirt, tried for 20 minutes to find an outfit that was “business casual,” and made my way over.
Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. As a Trinity freshman accustomed to the same cafeteria food from Mabee for breakfast day in and day out, I was ecstatic when I saw quiche and coffee and lots of other great things. I happily fulfilled my wish for free food and took my appointed seat to see what else it had to offer.
As I looked around my table, I found there was only one other student sitting with me. The other seats were to be filled by Trinity alumni. As an awkward person and all around terrible conversationalist, I was pretty scared by the set up. But as I got to know these entrepreneurs, I learned what it’s like starting a business in the real world. They showed me where Trinity students can go after finishing here and talked about all the opportunities there are out there available to us. The learning experience continued as I listened to the speakers talk about their own Trinity started entrepreneurship experiences.
If you get the opportunity next year, I definitely recommend you attend the TUNE Brunch. Not only did I get my free food, I got to learn more about entrepreneurship and make some great connections at the same time.
